In August 2009 I had the opportunity to travel to Uganda with World Vision Canada. Three flights and over 14,000 kilometers later, I stood firmly on Ugandan soil and my short, but very important assignment began.

World Vision had invited Canadian musicians Melissa McClelland and Luke Doucet on a journey through some area development projects. The purpose was to show them the work and the value of their donations. For the last few years Luke & Melissa have sponsor a child in Uganda named Saul. They would finally get to meet him and in the process decide on whether they would like to become a part of World Vision’s Artist Associates Program.

My job was to document their experience.

It was an honor and a privilege to work with the folks at World Vision as well as my long time friends, Luke & Melissa.

I hope you enjoy the images and encourage you to visit World Vision’s website for more information on how you can personally make a difference in the lives of many.

Much Love, Mavreen
